What Is an IPPIS Loan?
IPPIS is an acronym for Integrated Payroll and Personal Information System. It is a system created by the Nigerian government to help regulate the economic flow of workers’ salaries across all government agencies and intergovernmental facilities.
This system provides workers with timely salary remittances as well as third-party payment deductions. As a result which both the governement and other government-approved private agencies give out IPPIS loans to eligible workers who submit their applications for such loans. Eligibility Criteria
The IPPIS loan unlike every other loan on this platform is strictly for government workers in Nigeria. So, if you are not a staff of any of the government agencies in Nigeria or if your agency is not enrolled in the IPPIS payment scheme, then you are not eligible for any IPPIS programs.
Here are a few things that may determine if you’re eligible for a loan or not on the IPPIS platform outside your organization status;
- Good credit history – you must not have a bad credit history or be indebted to any loan agency or platform at the time of application.
- You must be an FG worker in Nigeria.
- The loan amount must not be more than 70% of your entire salary
- You must have all the documents listed in the requirements section below and any others added by the IPPIS at the time of application.
Requirements for IPPIS Loan
To access a loan from the IPPIS loan platform, you are to provide some information about yourself and some documents which include;
- Valid Work ID card
- Valid National ID Card(NIN)
- An IPPIS number – This has been issued to all staff at the point of enrollment.
- Bank statement of account
- Salary Payslip
- Bank Verification Number (BVN)
- Employment / Deployment Letter/ Confirmation Letter
